  The war on rust

The chassis was the part I really wanted to make sure would stay rust free for as long as possible. This involved nearly 100 hours with an assortment of scrapers, wire brushes and a grinder.

It turned out the chassis was in pretty good condition and there was no repeat of the big lumps that had come off the other chassis.

Once de-rusted and clean it was sprayed with Supertrol 001... ...a very thin brown anti rust agent similar to waxoyl... ...which made it look rusty again!
